Curzon Global Partners event at the Bottaccio

London 2006

Elemental Design was responsible for the theming, entertainment, catering, audio visual, lighting and management. The event concept was based on the edginess and “bling-bling” of New York City. To create an atmosphere full of excitement and surprise we chose to work with different reveals throughout the evening:

FIRST REVEAL: Private Residence Red Room

The building was illuminated in red, with a red carpet leading guests into the venue. The guests were greeted by a doorman in pink tails. Coats were taken by sexy and chatty “chicks” and the Managing Director welcomed guests into his glamour castle wearing his first bling outfit. The room was dressed in sumptuous reds with an antique oriental feel. Fires were glowing and guests were offered luxurious “Cur Zone” cocktails. Small but substantial bowls of oriental inspired dishes were served on red and black lacquer trays, with choice of chopsticks. When the atmosphere reached its peak, the entertainment started:

Additional Entertainment

  • A contortionist wheeled into the room in a clear box, she extricated herself and handed invites for the VIP party happening upstairs!
  • Flat screen TV.
  • Male and female gold statues offered chocolate dipped strawberries.
  • DJ warm up.
  • Couple of special guests mingled and chatted with guests setting the scene.
  • Over the top door person selected who goes up the stairs first.

To welcome guests upstairs, the Managing Director was waiting on the stairs wearing his second bling outfit while paparazzi photographers were shooting sexy girls on the psychedelic stairway.

SECOND REVEAL: Leopard Lounge Bar and Club Lounge

When the guests arrived at the leopard lounge they found a full on funky lounge bar with ice filled buckets of champagne and glasses strategically placed on tables and on the floor. A selection of performers disguised as guests were already in the bar drinking champagne, warming up and welcoming the guests as they arrived upstairs. All of a sudden they started performing a selection of different types of acts which lasted throughout the evening. All the acts seemed improvised, impromptu and slightly hilarious.

Additional Entertainment

  • DJ pumped up the music in the main room.
  • Break dancing duo was performing.
  • Live MC was rapping over music.
  • Girls and guys danced on a podium to get dance floor jumping.

THIRD REVEAL: Kasbah Moroccan Lounge

To add even more excitement to the already rocking party, the Managing Director, dressed in a Kasbah outfit, revealed an exotic Moroccan style lounge. The tables were filled with hookah pipes with a selection of aromatic tobaccos and herbs, coffee and mint tea as well as platters of exotic fruits and rich sweet and savoury pastries. Belly dancers moved through the room and a snake charmer arrived to work his magic…
